November 17th. The lights are dimmed and the music kicks in. Anticipation for the 2022 HSA Awards announcements is at fever pitch. This year, more than any other, we felt like our chances were strong, but none of us expected two winning projects. This was the perfect ending to another eventful, project-laden year. Well done everyone. It was a full team effort.
As a quick recap of the winning projects; Luttrell Avenue won the Best Luxury Home Staging category, which is one of the largest properties we have ever staged. Boasting six immaculately presented bedrooms in a quiet, leafy suburb of Putney, this property had been renovated to the highest standards and was ready to be placed on the market. The brief was to stage the property as a modern family home and to carefully consider the ambience and calm, harmonious décor when designing.
We styled the modern furniture with soft, layered fabrics and accessories, to help create a warm, inviting space. Our emphasis was on natural materials and a delicate colour palette, which contrasted well with the black fixtures and contemporary finish. At the same time, we added those crucial homely touches, such as a pair of really cute children’s wellies. You can’t beat miniature clothing and accessories when you want to raise a smile.
The property was on the market for £3,695,000 and it received multiple offers above asking price.
Our second award was for Southgate Road, which won the Best Vacant Home Staging category. This was a great example of a meticulously renovated Victorian terraced house, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms and a large extension boasting oak parquet flooring throughout.
We decided to use a neutral colour palette with black accents that helped the design feel in keeping with the trendy dark fixtures and fittings throughout the property. Natural finishes and materials helped soften the spaces, which worked particularly well in the case of the wooden bar stools juxtaposed against the sharp modern kitchen countertop.
The property was listed at £2,500,000 and received two offers within 10 days of entering the market.
These awards are just the start. Our 2023 calendar is already filling up with some exciting new projects that we cannot wait to get stuck into.
